Why do girls with straight hair use hair flat irons?

I don't get it. Their hair is already straight.Why do girls with straight hair use hair flat irons?
some girls like to use it if there hair is a little poofy.

We straighten strait hair because ';strait'; hair isn't truly strait. It will either have opposing curls or some waves. The straitener is used to either make hair bone strait or to flip the ends directly.
hah.. to make it shiny.. those ionizing flattners do make the hair shiny .. flat irons also help control frizz and shape the ends of straight hair so their are no funny sticky outtie things.
makes it smoother and flattens the fly aways - flat irons make the hair look sleeker and smoother - it's a girl thing!
Im really not sure, i have poker straight hair.. and i straigtening it still. It makes it feel thinner, and look better.
Because it is frizzy at the ends. It makes the hair smoother and shinier, easier to manage.
Hmm.. well very few girls have naturally *poker straight* hair which is much desired, sought after and looks great..


So even girls who have straight hair use irons and straighteners to get that pressed poker-straight look that is really in.. :-)
My hair is straight, and I never use hair flat irons, because they can really harm my hair, and not just mine, anybody's. I think because they are obsessed about their hair.

Because its a recent fad going on and everyone wants to look like everyone else. My grand daughters are also doing it. They are complaining that their hair is breaking off. Well what do they expect?
Ironing adds luster, softness, and flexibility to the hair. It may be straight but the hair might have bad ends and uneven-ness to it. It will make the hair completely straight to make it look nicer.
Probably to smooth it out and give it more shine
To maintain it and to make it straighter

and not only that they are damaging their hair....it gives them split ends and fries their hair!!!

It just gets rid of extra volume and frizz.


My hair is naturally straight, but I have crazy amounts of volume, so ';flat'; irons make ur hair flat.
well they get the repututation of having straight hair, right? so they want to get rid of ANY wave at all. plus it adds a tad bit of volume.

god i know. my hair is really curly, and when i tell people that i straightened my hair, they're like ';oh i did too!'; and im like ';ok...? isnt your hair already straight?';
because their hair is a little frizzy

not perfectly straight though. they wanna get the odds and ends and sometimes there bangs are messed up and want to fix them and also beacuse the frizz...sometimes peoples hair get frizzy if u dont straighten it.
