Can I get my hair flat-ironed right after I get it relaxed?

I'm getting my hair relaxed tomorrow and I want it to look shiny/bouncy when I return to school Monday. So after my mom relaxed it and it dried I was gonna ask her to flat iron it (with a heat protectant). The I would put a light oil on it after to avoid more damage. Why don't you just wet wrap it? It'd be bouncy and pretty straight without the heat damage. If you put a little oil in it before you wrap it it'd stay moisturized and be really shiny.
