I can live with that as long as it can A) Straighten hair VERY well and B) Curl hair VERY well.
Can a CHI do both of those things? If not, what straightener should I get?
Are there any REALLY GOOD pink straighteners? Preferably pink and black?
My hair has only been dyed once, and its not very curly just slightly wavy. it's not that frizzy, just a tiny bit. But it's pretty flipping thick!! I don't want one of those big flat irons. Just a one or two inch wide one.
Any ideas? What kind of straightener do you use? Is it any good? Where'd you get it?
What's it look like? Does it add shine? Does it reduce volume and tame frizz? Can I rely on it to curl my hair and the curls stay in tact?
Sorry for so many questions, I don't expect all of them to be fully answered. Just be detailed, PLEASE! Thank you very much(:Anyone know a lot about hair? Flat irons? Mainly the CHI Flat Iron?
omg! the CHI is AMAZING! I have tried almost every hair straightener and i recently moved in with my roomie who has the chi and its amazing!! it makes pretty curls and straightens amazing..
there are tutorials on youtube on how to curl hair with a chi. the curls are sooo pretty and last a long time with out hairspray!Anyone know a lot about hair? Flat irons? Mainly the CHI Flat Iron?
i have a chi and it straightens my hair really good. i have never tried to curl my hair with a chi because my hair is naturally curly. i have had mine for over a year and it hasnt broken yet.
chi's are not the best straighteners. i use a croc straightener. my hair stays straight no matter how humid it is outside. and my hair is naturally puffy and frizzy. the croc goes up to 450 degrees. u don't have to have it set that high but that's as high as it will go. the second best straightener i know of is the paul brown. it looks like a chi. now i really don't curl my hair cus i can't keep it curled but a chi curler works really good. my sister uses it all the time. you can get a croc here:

It doesn't matter : as long as the surface is flat and soft they're all the same ( there also are golden flat irons but that's just useless ! ), ads don't say so but that's all commercial scam !
The speed and quality of straightening has nothing to do with that, it's all about temperature and health : the more heat you apply to your hair, the easier it straightens, and it also allows your hair to keep straight longer.
The healthier your hair is, the faster it straightens ( you wouldn't even need to apply much heat ). If your hair starts to flick out a few time after straightening, it has nothing to do with the quality of the straightener, it just means your hair starts to be ruined by the heat, and it does damage the hair a lot over the long haul !
Also, applying heat protector on hair is no use, you shouldn't apply anything on your hair before straightening it, because the heat will make it kind of boil and fry. Never touch or move your hair when it's still hot, always let it go back to lukewarm before you touch it. Never let the straightener more than three seconds on any given section of hair : basically, straighteners were meant to be used for the fininshing of straightening the hair using blowdryer and round brush, they're not meant to straighten the hair from curly, hope that helps !
