take a shower, air dry make sure its completely dry, spray on straight sexy hair (by big sexy hair) evenly through out my hair, then spray it on individual pieces right before i straighten it for extra protection(:
it leaves my hair with a nice even shine (remember to not spray too much by ur roots, it might make ur hair look greasy)
if u hear a sizzling sound its the flatiron burning the spray which is good because that means its not burning ur hair(:
you can buy it at most hair salons, or at sallys beauty supplies.
hope i helped %26amp; good luck(:Hair Flat iron question !!!!! easy point :) :) plzzzz help !?
best thing ever
KQC spray or something like that.
First if you blow dry and then iron it you are doing double the damage to your hair. Products to protect your hair from heat help but they don't stop the damage completely. Wash your hair with a really moisturizing shampoo and conditioner - I use Redken. Wrap a towel around your head when you get out and leave it there while you get dressed and do your make up - about half an hour -then it will be towel-dried. Don't rub the towel on your head - it causes tangles. First I use a leave in conditioner or a great product called damage control by Aveda (you can buy it at an Aveda salon an Aveda store or on-line). Then I comb my hair and apply Align 12 by Redken and comb it through my hair and let my hair air dry completely if you are in a hurry you can blow dry but I definitely suggest using a spray heat protectant to get more coverage. After it is bone dry I pull up the top sections and pin them, then I apply a glossing cream to the rest of my hair (I use Fekkai, Use a pea size amount only on your whole head so you will use teeny tiny bits on sections of your hair $19 - buy it at Sephora or Bath %26amp; Body Works). Just continue by letting down other sections of hair adding product and pulling the iron slowly but smoothly down the sections. Redken products can be bought at a salon or Trade Secret. Good luck! Hope this helped!

Why do girls/women with nice wavy hair flat-iron or straighten it like a religion?
Before the 20th century, women in Europe and America w/ wavy ginger hair were considered the most beautiful. Even the great Galileo wrote medical treatise on how the women of Europe could have grit for whitening the teeth and a recipe for auburn hair.
Nowadays, even extremely sound-minded women clutch their Chi ceramic irons to their bosoms like a holy mandate.
I have two friends w/ long luscious chestnut hair. They both flat iron their hair like their lives depends upon it. They have both been doing this since jr high school and are now college seniors. Either can explain why they continue the daily struggle to make their hair stick-straight at such a high cost in products, time and damage to their hair.
On days that one of them sleeps in late, I might meet her for lunch and she always exclaims shamfully ';My hair is awful today! It鈥檚 terrible! I hate it.';
My question always is what is wrong with those lovely God-given face-framing curls, ringlets and waves in the first place. Why do girls/women with nice wavy hair flat-iron or straighten it like a religion?
I gave up ironing my hair years ago. It's just what the media likes these days. I love my hair and I stand out in the crowd. We tend to get brain washed into thinking we have to be like everyone else and a majority of people are not blessed with the curls and waves. Therefore, (and I was one of the blind followers for a long time) it makes sense that so many girls try to hide their beautiful locks in favor of blending in. Once they get self-esteem, they usually stop. I know I did and I'll never go back. Why do girls/women with nice wavy hair flat-iron or straighten it like a religion?
Not all women/girls do so.
I agree with you--waves and curls are so pretty.
I love my waves.
Good luck
It's because we want what we do not have, if my hair is straight I want curly hair, if it is curly I want straight hair. Straight hair is really ';in'; right now as well.
What a strange trend. I didn't even know that women did that until you
mentioned it. There are of course women with naturally straight hair that
use curling irons to make their hair wavy. Evidently, some women innately
prefer straight hair, and others innately prefer wavy hair.
Wavy hair is characterized by the abstract property of fineness, such
that people with a temperament of fineness prefer it, and people with a
temperament of crudeness detest it.
Well, I have wavy hair but sometimes I like having the sleek look of straight hair. I had pin straight hair my whole life then about 3 years ago my hair started getting wavy--I don't know why. Actually it's crazy wavy right now because it's humid. I like wavy sometimes because I don't have to do it to get ready to go somewhere--a little styling product, air dry and go. I like my hair both ways.
I think sometimes people just get bored with seeing the same thing in the mirror every day, or maybe they find a style that they think makes them look good, so they just stick with it. Sometimes it's difficult to see yourself for how you naturally are and really appreciate it. Even I tend to think I look like a monster without a bit of makeup here and there, when in the past I thought makeup was pointless and never wore any. I think people just fall into a routine of doing things and stay that way.
they don't see what you see and in there opinion they think they are hidious unless they meet their self percieved idea of beauty

Is it feminine/gay or both for a guy to get his hair flat-ironed and wrapped at a beauty salon?
First, let me start by saying I'm bald. A friend of mine knows a guy who goes to the beauty salon to get his hair ';flat-ironed'; and wrapped. Supposedly he's 'straight'. (Men ask a female to explain what 'a wrap' is.) Basically, it's when you wrap your hair around your head in a circular pattern. Can this be viewed as a sign of feminine tendency or gayness? Does this violate section 911 of the Man Law?? Kinda like a poll. Thanks. Is it feminine/gay or both for a guy to get his hair flat-ironed and wrapped at a beauty salon?
nopIs it feminine/gay or both for a guy to get his hair flat-ironed and wrapped at a beauty salon?
Flat ironing your hair makes it look smoother and a lot nicer regardless if ur a guy or chick. A guy wrapping his hair around his head? Sounds very unattractive. Tell your friend to buy a wig instead..or of course go bald.

What is more damage, Hair chemically straightened or Hair Flat Ironed over a 3 year period?
Okay I'm a guy and I do flat iron my hair, I grew out my hair and it was nice wavy hair that I liked, I got it cut about a month ago and it was a terrible terrible cut! my top layer is shorter than my layer under it, looks retarded. The thing is my hairstylist used a flat iron on my hair and made it really straight, I liked how that thing works but I really hate what my hair looks like when it goes with it's natural wave now, SO I flat iron every time I wash my hair, I'm not completely ignorant about using a flat iron I'm okay with it and it just helps the way I look (I have gotten compliments) the way I do it makes it look natural and not like I really flat ironed the hell out of it, my question is, if I kept using the flat iron for about 3 years and did it every other 3 days, is that more damaging to my hair than getting it chemically straightened at a salon...? Sorry this is getting long, but I grew out my hair for 2 years and I do NOT even contemplate of getting a short haircutWhat is more damage, Hair chemically straightened or Hair Flat Ironed over a 3 year period?
Well I think dat chemically straightening can be worser, but it depends where u go 2 get it straightened.
U can't be sure coz ur hair can fall out if done by sum1 inexperienced.
So yeah, I reckon stik wit da flat iron. What is more damage, Hair chemically straightened or Hair Flat Ironed over a 3 year period?
flat irons are less damaging make sure you use thermal protectants you can also use a wet to dry iron when your hair is damp which will keep it from going curly in damp weather.but will go back to curly when shampooed and make sure you use good conditioners hope this helps
For straightening hair at home, you can use a hair iron and a straightening shampoo will also help. If you wish to straighten for a longer time, you can undergo Japanese hair straightening. I found this website useful - http://hcr.in/straighten.html
both, beauty has it's price
flat ironing ur hair every single day is a worse option because all the protien in your hair gets burnt due to which ur hair start falling, hair texture degrades over time, one can see after washing them when they flat iron. probably thats why you do not like your natural waves now. not like chemical rebonding is a great option but it definitely wins over continuous flat ironing.
believe me i have seen girls in my school. they always have perfectly straight hair(flat ironed ie), the next day when it is washed it looks horribe .......like straw

What is the best hair flat iron?
I have very curly hair, but it's not at all unmanageable...i just like straightening it. I got one for 80$ from my hair dresser which was a one inch...it heated up relatively quick, but I started to notice the black iron part was deteriorating, and my hair wasn't staying straight.
so, i've decided i need a new one. i need a brand that is reliable, and needs to likely be about (at least) 2 inches wide. and i would also love one that keeps my hair straight!!!!
i don't care if it's ceramic or not, i just want a polished look like everyone else.
thanks for any help! What is the best hair flat iron?
babyliss they have them online for 100 dollars they work really good i have oneWhat is the best hair flat iron?
';remington wet 2 straight';. it works WONDERS! I have had the same straightener for 3 years and it hasn't let me down, even though the ceramic has peeled off from age. I wouldn't replace it though! %26lt;3
P.S. I only paid 30 bucks for it! My friend recently bought the same one for the same price too!
I have a GVP straightener. I bought it at Sally Beauty. I think I paid less than $60 for it. I really like it. They have them in all colors and patterns.
http://www.sallybeauty.com/gvp-straightn鈥?/a>
I know my friend has one from Conair and it works like wonders! She did it to me and if you just spend ten minutes doing it then it will look really good. But the bad part is that you can't just do a quick run through, you would go over a piece, but still only taking 10 Minutes! I love it and I hope this helps you!
chi, $160 jcpenny...i can never go wrong with chi irons.
The kiyoseki is the best straightener in the world. It straightens your hair and it can curl you hair if you want. And when its hot outside your hair stays straight go to www.kstyler.com and watch the commercial hope this helped.=)

What is the best hair flat iron?
I need to buy a nice flat iron. I heard that CHI is good. I also heard that FHI is good. I don't care too much about the price, as long as it straightens my hair very well. Can you send me a link and tell me the exact name and model? If there are other brands that you like then please give me the reason why you like them. Thanks!
Unlike the Coriolis flat iron that i have that does a poor job and i have to go over it a bunch and within 15 minutes the ends are no longer straight. I payed $150 for the coriolois which sucks! What is the best hair flat iron?
mine was under $30, its a cricket.. i went to a beauty store in the mall and asked them for a good hair straightener under 30 bucks and they gane me a cricket 2x its amazing ive had it for about 4months i love it. also dont got to like a sephora store and spend 150bucks cheep is better :) okk hope that helps (also DONT GET A CONAIR THEY ARE TERRIBLE AND DONT WORK) =)What is the best hair flat iron?
i have coriolis and it does a great job at straightening my hair and curling it, i paid a lil bit too much for it but i know i definitely will get another on Ebay for 40 bucks when the time comes. My friend had a Chi and it broke within a few months
Dude, go to this website
www.folica.com
You can find both the CHI and the FHI. I have been using the CHI for two years and my hair has never been healthier, shinnier or straighter. I think anything that has the ceramic is pretty good so you can't go wrong with either CHI or FHI.
Make sure you buy one that is a good width for the length of your hair. Mine is shoulder length with bangs so the 1 inch one is perfect for me, if your hair is longer try to find a wider one to save time when straightening.
Good luck!

How often should i straighten my hair (flat iron)?
Well, my mom is the one who usually straightens my hair and my hair seems to be healthy. I use a lot of conditioner and shampoo. And whenever my mom straightens my hair she uses this special serum to protect it and such.
She bought this flat iron that is really good a straightening and it's a brand that doesn't damage your hair as much as others do.
I was wondering, if i would start straightening my hair alone, how often should i do it. Like once a week or so?
I'm currently in middle school and i have layers now, and whenever i take a shower or i don't straighten it for some time it gets a little frizzy after contact with water (lasts for about a day) and gets a little poofy (when i don't straighten it for awhile)...XD I'm currently in 6th grade right now so i don't want any people making fun of me that my mom irons my hair...%26gt;.%26gt;How often should i straighten my hair (flat iron)?
It's not a big deal at all that your mom straightens your hair. It's much better than going to school with your hair straight in the front, but a poofball in the back. If you do end up straightening it on your own, I would only straighten it 2-3 times a week if you can help it. No one likes fried hair. How often should i straighten my hair (flat iron)?
you're mom can still straighten your hair .. you don't have to tell anyone she does it. but i recommend you don't straighten it too often and when you do keep using that heat serum. i straightened mine every day for awhile and my hair is completely dead so don't do it too often.
I straighten mine everyday.

OH NO! I just got my hair flat ironed but I need help to make it stay straight until wednesday PLEASE HELP!?
I thought school was tomorrow but school got canceled because of weather issues and now I have to wait until Wednesday! And i just got my hair flat ironed for school. How do i make it stay so nice and straight for one more day? And when i go to sleep i dont want it to get messy! PLEASE HELP. I dont need product recommendations. I just need tips! OH NO! I just got my hair flat ironed but I need help to make it stay straight until wednesday PLEASE HELP!?
It won't be THAT greasy don't worry.
And if it is, in the morning, ask your mom or a sister or someone to use a iron to straighten out whatever needs to be straighten. Remember, don't get the iron too hot and don't use it again unless it's for emergencies like this. Then, tie it half up or clip it half back, or do something to the greasy-ness at your roots isn't obvious. Use a bit of hairspray to make it stay. Take a shower when you get home! Later get a straightener so you don't go insane in situations like this!
Good luck! =)
Edit: if you get a straightener, DON'T get it from Wal-Mart. Take it from someone who knows about hair and hair stuff, they do not work. Buy something that's at least $100, and it'll actually do a good job in straightening. Don't worry about your hair getting frizzy or messed up, you can re-straighten with the iron.OH NO! I just got my hair flat ironed but I need help to make it stay straight until wednesday PLEASE HELP!?
well I was gonna say go to the store and buy a bottle of [[Garnier Fructis Sleek %26amp; Shine Anti-Frizz Serum]] but you could always wrap your hair just get a comb %26amp; a brush part you hair into four sections and start at the back left of your head and start combing it in a circular motion towards the front then go to the back right side of your head and comb %26amp; brush it in the same direction %26amp; then go to the front right of your head %26amp; comb %26amp; brush your hair in the same direction your hair should be wrapped in a circle around your head and then put a wrap cap on it if you don't have a wrap cap use a bandana, do-rag, rag or whatever
oh the longer your hair is the longer it takes to wrap
it'll be really oily and greasy.
and probably ugly after.
and it will get messed up when you sleep.
just get it done again.
Pull your hair up in a bun when you shower, and don't get it wet...Do you have a blow dryer?....Blow dry your hair straight, (like a 'Retouch up.).
And to the people who say it's gross, or she should wash it..It's fine to leave your hair straightend for a few days...It's better then straightening everyday, Which is extremely damaging to hair.
ok, well i'm kinda confused.. did you go somewhere to get it ';flat ironed';? cuz if so...instead of paying to get it done...you should really just invest in a flat iron... you can buy them at walmart, which is the cheapest place, and the best thing about walmart is, if it breaks, which many times flat irons do...you can return it if you have the receipt but usually its just exchange... they range in price from $10 to $100+ depending on how curly your hair is will depend on the quality of hair straitner you need. mine for example is really curly hair, so my hair straitner heats to 395 degrees,
to keep it nice at night, i usually put a low ponytail in but... a loose one to avoid ponytail bumps! i also use the really skiny ones cuz the big ones tend to cause bumps easier... as for the day of school, i would try anti-friz spray, and straitning spray, i don't recomend putting it in your hair now, b/c it causes your hair to look greasy after a while, and since you aren't washing your hair the products will make your hair look way to greasy come wednesday...
also if you do plan on showering... put your hair up in loose bun but don't leave it in long...quick shower, also use cold water if you can stand it, b/c the heat/steam will cause your hair too look messy and loose some of the straitness although its not getting wet...
umm... hope this helped email me if you have other questions oliveoil9030@yahoo.com
it's gonna be extremely oily...
can't u get it done again?
Calm down. Take some pics of how nice it is now!! So then it won't be a waste, and just be happy you get another day off school.
I heard that kosher salt can help absorb the oil and baby powder is good too
I would suggest that you would wash it and do it over again tomorrow or Wednesday morning
wrap a silk head scarf around your head when you sleep and avoid water!
....you aren't going to wash it?
....
great first impression haha
It won't be THAT greasy don't worry.

also if you do plan on showering... put your hair up in loose bun but don't leave it in long...quick shower, also use cold water if you can stand it, b/c the heat/steam will cause your hair too look messy and loose some of the straitness although its not getting wet...
umm... hope this helped email me if you have other questions oliveoil9030@yahoo.com
it's gonna be extremely oily...
can't u get it done again?
Need help buying a new hair flat iron... or repairing?
I have this flat iron. It worked pretty well for about 10 months but a few weeks ago it stopped heating altogether. The red light won't come on at all. I've tried different outlets but nothing's working. Is this repairable? Where would I go?
http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productD鈥?/a>
Should I buy the same one? I don't know where to find it because there was one in stock in marshall's. I think it was a lucky find. This online store is out of stock too.
Or should I move on and get another? I want a flat iron equal to this one or better.
Thank you!Need help buying a new hair flat iron... or repairing?
try the Remington Wet to Straight Iron. i first tried the chi and it broke w/in a year, and it cost $100! the Remington only costs $30! HEB or Target sells these. It's definitely worth it!

Hair flat irons?
what do you think about chi ironsHair flat irons?
OK
I'm going to be honest with you. It is pretty darn hard to find a very good flat iron for your kind of price. Let me take you through my story. I first got a Hot Tools flat iron, it was OK at first, and then turned to pure crap. I used a MAXIUS, same thing. I used a CORTEX for $60, it worked OKAY, but ended up giving me terrible split ends. I spent years trying out different flat irons (Revlon, Jose Eber, SleeknStraight, you name it), and tried getting them at the same price range, under $100.
The stylists told me that the truth was that to get something real good, I was going to have to pay up. It pained me, to hear this, because I didn't want to spend so much money, but I had to accept it.
The stylists recommended CHI, which is what most of them use anyway. I spent $150, RIDICULOUS! I was soooo upset to have spent this because I could think of a million better ways.
But I have to admit the truth. IT WORKS MARVELOUS!!!! Ask anyone. 99% of people have no complaint. CHI IS THE BEST! It is worth the price, and I had to learn that the hard way. But, I have had it for 5 years, and I get the same great results each time. I have terribly curly, coarse, and frizzy hair and it's like magic. There are probably cheaper ones, I think the cheapest CHI iron is like $120.
If you don't want to follow my advice, that's fine. Just whichever one you choose, make sure it's a CERAMIC flat iron because nobody can deny that CERAMIC is better for your hair.
PS-Don't straighten your hair more than twice weekly. And have PLENTY of protection. You should probably buy the following;
HEAT PROTECTION SPRAY
STRAIGHTENING GEL
I have to admit that I think Tresseme is better than CHI for heat protection. Look for this package ';Tresseme Thermal Creations Heat Package'; or something like that.
and in addition, it helps to use a good Straightening Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner. It really does.
IM BEHIND CHI 100%
GOOD LUCK!Hair flat irons?
they work great for a wile... until they break. they break easily. trust me ive had thm. most ppl usually choose between the chi the solia and the sedu. wile all r great the sedus is the best. and its not just endorsed bcuz of celebrity crap. i have it and so does my frend. my othr frend has a solia. and the frend wit the sedu used to have the chi and lol i used it all the time. then it broke and she bought a sedu which YAY has a 2 yr warranty. lol. ive onli just gotton it and it works great!! my frends had it for a wile tho now and its still strong and ive heard of ppl whove had it for 4 years. and the solias ok but the sedus better. on my hair i onli have 2 go down once and my hair stays straight up until the next time i wash it. so the chis OK but sedu is way better.

What is the best hair flat iron to create curls?
the other day i saw a youtube video where someone curled their hair using a flat iron, the flat iron they used was the ozon naughty girl flat iron, but i was wondering if any of you guys know if this is the best one for that
its super cute, and has great reviews, but in the reviews it also says its not that great for curls so i was wondering...
which flat iron is?What is the best hair flat iron to create curls?
Chi.
They are fantastic! You can straighten, curl, wave and even crimp with them. Flick in, flick out.. whatever, seriously does it all! :]
Good luck! xoxWhat is the best hair flat iron to create curls?
A flat iron is for making the hair flat. It's not for making curls.
For that, you want a round curling iron. While you can use the rounded edges of a flat iron, you have to know what you are doing to do it well. But a curling iron works much better.
Remember to curl the hair, slip the iron out without disturbing the curl, and clip it in place. When it is cool, then take out the clip and play with the hair. When you pull it straight while it is still hot, the hair will go straight, or limp, or won't stay curled for long.
When you follow the rules, everything always works as it should.
just use a ';curling iron';, thats what its made for. =]
conair is a good hair product company
use curl enchancer shampoo and conditionor after curling your hair.
go to a professional salon and get your hair styled and ask them for tips to use at home.
Ps. try this (my friend suggested it) : straighten your hair, let it cool and set, then curl your straightened hair then let it cool and set.
I have a zoe straightener. any straightener with curved edges will be good, oh and of couse it has to actually heat.
i like flat hair also straight

Woo, a hair flat iron question.?
i don't have a lot of money to spend and i HATE my cheap revlon straightener; damages already straight hair.
do you think this straightener is worth it? http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productD鈥?/a>
and do you really think its valued at that muchh.
or should i go with a chi.. i dont want to burn my thin but long hair! and i want it smooth and shiny.
seriously ANY advice is so much appreciated, thank you so much.Woo, a hair flat iron question.?
Invest in a Chi. They last for years!!!
Go here, and they're a lot cheaper...Woo, a hair flat iron question.?
Just find an iron that heats up to at least 300 degrees and has heat settings and ceramic plates.
Play around with the settings until you find the right temp that works for your hair type. Keep in mind that it is the heat that flattens your hair, not the name brand. So don't fall for over priced ,over hyped products.
I use iron in my salon that I payed 30 bucks for about 2 yrs ago and have never had a problem with it. It's a Conair Pro I bought on sale at sally bty supply.
Don't fall for the hype. You don't need to spend a small fortune.
I have a CHI and it's amazing. Get that one. I got mine for about $100, i donno if that's out of your price range or not, but it's def worth it!! Make sure you do use a thermal protector on your hair no matter what kind of straightener you get. It will look TONS healthier. Trust me.
I highly recommend the Chi there amazing, I used to have a cheap revlon one and that ruined my hair kinda, and then i started using a Chi and it works amazingly.
Just use heat protection spray and then use ur flat iron
Get a Chi,it works a lot better.
Get a Chi, I got mine for like $80 try www.folica.com, they have discounted prices on the CHI

The best hair flat iron/straightner?
Okay so I have very thick curly hair and I like to wear it straight every once in awhile when I have time to fix it (I have a 4 month old lol so sometimes, there is no time).
I want to get a good flat iron that won't damage my hair too bad, and will straighten it pretty fast and make it pretty :o) My friend bought the Chi and she said it was really expensive, is this one the best? If it will last a long time and work good I will buy it but I don't know if it is worth it. Also where do I buy one?The best hair flat iron/straightner?
Honestly the Chi is great, but the price sometimes isn't worth it because it dies faster than other brands. There is a revlon straightener you can buy at kmart/walmart (average cost is $35 for it) it is a ceramic straightener. The handle is black and the ceramic is white, with a red lip around it. I would not normally recommend anything revlon however this straightener seems to work better than most of the top marketed irons. As long as you use it properly it will work great and won't damage your hair at all. It works on thin and thick hair as well as wet or dry, though I recommended waiting until your hair is air dried before using it.The best hair flat iron/straightner?
I bought solia and it dosen't cost a lot, it's rated better than chi (check folica), dosen't damage hair, makes you hair really really straight, keeps your hair straight for a week. SO it is really good.
I heard that CHIs are really good and worth the price. I have a straightener/flat iron from another brand called Bion. Mine is great, I can use it daily with barely any damage. It's more expensive than the CHI though. My mom got it for me so I don't know where or how much, sorry. I've heard good things about the ghd too, but I'd definitely recommend the CHI or Bion - they're better known as far as I know.
CHIs are around $200 regular price I think, but Drugstore.com has them for cheaper, $90. And drugstore.com is a great website to buy from; I've purchased from them several times. Great service! You could also ask at a local hair salon and they'll probably have them too.

maybe under 40
i had a chi but it broke
don't tell me wet to straight because I HAD THAT ONE AND IT BROKE
i have thick curly brown hairA good cheap hair flat iron?
I have been trying for years to find a cheap flat iron that works. Take it from someone who has thick curly brown hair as well--there are no cheap alternatives to an expensive flat iron. The best advice is to look around on ebay or like the other girl suggested, go to a beauty supply and look for one that may be on sale. But you will have to end up buying an expensive one to actually straighten your hair. Please do the right thing and dont waste all your money going through several cheap ones that will not work.A good cheap hair flat iron?

i need a new one because mine like litterly fell apart. i came home one day and my mom showed me that the hot part fell off or out or sumthin but anywayz.......i need a good one for cheapWhere can i get a hair flat iron?
Wal-Mart.Where can i get a hair flat iron?
http://www.corioliss.com/
i've had mine for about 4 years and it's still working awesome. they're kind of expensive, but totally worth it.
Wal Mart, or check your local salon. Some salons do a used hair product sale and you can get really good stuff (maybe expensive brands names) that are relatively new for really cheap.
Get a Zöe flat iron@ Ulta! They are like $30 for a $130 value! i love them%26amp; they are REALLY good for the price:) Hope this helped!
walmart
its the little ceramic one.
even though its little ceramic is the best.
%26lt;3
First of all don't go to Wal-Mart thos don't work you should go to Sally's Beauty supply they have straighteners curlers and etc.
They have some at Walmart but there not exactly Quality brand. They sell some at Kohl's that are on sale. I found an electric blue one by bed head for $30
there's usually some at wal-mart.
if you want a really goodd one it'll prolly' run about 20 dollars.
walmart and get the chi flat iron
get the gold one at target its inepensive and works well its gold and black
wal-mart, if you want a durable, good straightner, get a wet to dry.
walmart. I got mine for ten bucks. REALLY cheap

Dry hair flat iron or wet hair flat iron?
i got curly hair, and i just started using a flat iron! i like the change! only its the one that says HAIR MUST BE DRY! it works get! just i find myself waiting forever for my hair to dry! the hair dryer just dont work for me! lol for some reason i just cant use a hair dryer! but if i flat iron my hair and its just a lil damp it will frizz! i use john freida frizz shampoo and condt, and a frizz cream!
if my hair is dry it works great!
my question, i seen a flat iron for wet/dry hair! like i said i have a reg one but was looking into the wet/dry one. i dont know much about flat irons other then they get really hot and arent good for your hair! lol!
so should i get the wet/dry one or just stick with the one i got? any thoughts will be great thanks!Dry hair flat iron or wet hair flat iron?
Hey! Trust me...the wet to straight straigtners do NOT work! I used to own one, and use it to dry my hair AND straighten it...you have to go over your hair 5 times JUST to get it to dry and then when its finally dry, the straightner BARELY straightens your hair.....so please dont burn and ruin your hair with a wet/dry straightner:) please just stick with a hair dryer and straightner. Or take a shower the night before and then it will be dry, and ready to straigten when you wake up!

when your hair is wet, it is most succeptible to damage
so whether or not a flat iron says ';for damp hair';
dont do that kind of damage to your hair.
It might take a while for your hair to dry, but then you
can use products that will help make straightening your hair easier.
Keep in mind that you dont have to wash your hair everyday once your hair is straightened.
I have clients that come in to get their curly hair straightened and
dont wash their hair for a week.
Stick with the one you got. The wet to dry are just scams. Putting any heat on wet hair is like ironing silk. It's so damaging.
I personally don't like the wet/dry ones. I don't think they work as well or as fast. I'd definitely stick with what ya got!
Dry hair flat iron, DO NOT GET WET HAIR KIND!
i had a wet hair/dry hair straightener before but i never really used it when my hair was wet, i always wait until it drys. except i have tried it before and with ANY straightener, it's not healthy for your hair at all. you can't get rid of the frizz and it feels disgusting straightening it wet :S it's really harmful and it doesn't ever get it that straight regardless, so i'd recommend you buy a better blowdryer, invest some good cash in it and i'm SURE your hair will be able to dry. it just takes patience. and i recommend getting a heat protectant too (: cause using a dryer followed be a straightener alone isn't good for your hair either.

Hair flat iron hellppp!!!?
Okay my haur is naturaly curly but i had it cut as scene hair. I told my mom my flat iron broke and she said to bad u have anouther one. Yes i do have anouther one BUT its from conair and its the crapiest thing ive ever bought!!!! and my mom is really cheap. sooo i need some help to persuade her to let me get anouther oneHair flat iron hellppp!!!?
sweet talk her into it, don't beg or anything. my friend has this really good straightener that only cost her $30. i went to her house, and it only took a half hour, opposed to my $180 dollar one taking an hour.
until then you can use a blow dryer and at all costs avoid the crappy conair one. look into some good cheap ones., or it will just get frizzy. use an ironing board! really, i've done it. leave it straight for as long as you can, and don't use the iron every day. it should stay somewhat straight and get soft curls throughout the week. dont get it wet for as long as possible. also you can try this: just straighten your bangs with a blow dryer, and then pull your hair in a pony tail/bun. all of the hair that doesnt reach back, straighten, and hold back with bobby pins. wear a headband too. sorry this is so long, but hang in there baby!
try this hairstyle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-B8uvQAY2鈥?/a>
i do it with my short curly hair and its really cute! plus it gets in all of the extra short hair that was cut when you got scene layersHair flat iron hellppp!!!?

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.
In terms of performance:
The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd. These are top of the line professional brands
Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,
Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss
Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

=== Tips for buying professional hair appliances ===
Do NOT buy professional hair appliances from unauthorized places like amazom.com, eBay, Target, Walmart, etc. Because if you do, manufacturers will refuse to honor the warranty. Buy from licensed places like salon, licensed professional beauty stores like Folica.com, Ulta.com, West Coast Beauty Supply Inc. etc
honestly you gotta spend the money if you want quality. i have a CHI and it is a miracle worker. it was $120, but i have had it for 2 years. its worth the money
Try hot tools ceramic straightener its $45 i think and its the 1 and 1/2 inch
try anything by conair, it's awesome and usually under 30 dollars

Curly hair flat iron damage?
Im mixed, half european half jamaican, and i was wondering if straightening my hair once a week would damage it even if i took good care of it. I mean, i know theres going to be some damage but will it be so bad that it will effect my hairs growth? I dont usually straighten my hair but i recently got it cut and at this lenght it looks better straight. I just wanna straighten it until i get the length i want.
Thanx 2 those who answer=DCurly hair flat iron damage?
As long as you treat your hair with the right oils before you straighten your hair, you should be fine. I use an all natural oil from Sally's beauty salon depo and I apply it after wahing my hair and before I blowdry or straighten.Curly hair flat iron damage?
yeah, itl be fine. i use straightners everyday on my hair, but make sure you use a heat protectant before you do. ( everywhere sells them!) the best one for me is CHI silk infusion( i think its called that).
i suggest you use a repairing or heat damaged hair mask occasionly aswell!
good luck!

Help with hair? Flat Iron.?
I have pretty short hair but I think
it looks more short because it isn't
all the way straight, kinda curly at
the roots and stuff.
Would using a flat iron and straightening
give it more length?Help with hair? Flat Iron.?
straight hair always gives the impression of longer cos it is straight and the cuticles are laying flat so it looks more shiny.
only way to get long hair instantly is to get hair extensions or have alot of patients and let it grow.
also...remember to use thermal protection spray when straighteneingHelp with hair? Flat Iron.?
If you think you want to give your hairs a new look, you can go for it ! I mean, make your hairs straight using the Iron. But make sure the flat iron you use should be melamine and not steel. I will definately give your hairs more length in looks.
Best of luck.

Yes, a flat iron will help your hair look longer. Be sure you use a ceramic one. And always use heat protection.
And never, never use a actual iron on your hair. That is so 50's. Find it hard to believe that was even suggested.
yeah for sure! a flat iron makes your hair look luscious and long! i straighten my hair all the time. If you really want them to be straight i suggest buying a good flat iron though..
if you cant do that try an actual iron! lay down flat on the ground and get someone to spread out your hair on the carpet (or towel ect.) and go over your hair with an iron, carefull not to burn your head though and dont do it to often or your hair will fry

i would use a flat iron but make sure it is a thin strip one coz u get more control over it and you won't end up fryin parts of your hair
Yes. Its actually suprising how much longer your hair can look when you straighten it. Mine is a little bit wavy...but no much...and it looks way longer when I straighten it. I suggest use a slimline ceramic one.

Hair Flat Iron: Sedu or Solia?
have spanish hair but its not bad. Its naturally like wavy-ish. I dont know whether to get the Solia or Sedu. Im leaning toward the Sedu because I heard the Solia breaks after a couple of months. Im not sure though because in some videos i saw, the sedu looks like it makes your hair stick together as if it were oily. Help!!Hair Flat Iron: Sedu or Solia?

My sister and I were discussing this the other day and we both agree that he should flat iron his hair. I guess he looks more like natural, though, with curly hair.Do you like Kevin Jonas' hair flat ironed , or curly??
I like his head to be ';flat ironed'; when i sling at his skull, and smash his head in lol! ;)
I am not trying to be rude at all but i think he needs to find his own style.
Nick-Curly

Me and my sis love him for that.

HI so what costs more to do at a salon? A blow dry or to get your hair flat ironed?
to get your hair done w/a flat iron that is considered a styleHI so what costs more to do at a salon? A blow dry or to get your hair flat ironed?
depends on where you go but maybe like 15-40 maybe but go to a salon and ask them they would have better ideaHI so what costs more to do at a salon? A blow dry or to get your hair flat ironed?
it really depends on ur hair type u have to ask but i think it is the flat iron
Probably Flat Ironed, b/c a good job takes longer than blow drying
Bloww dry because flat-iron frizzes easily and faster
flat ironing, because you have to dry it first, then flat iron it...Only makes sense.
they cost the same usually, unless you have extremely curly hair.. the more time it takes, usually the more expensive it is.. and they have to blow dry it first in order to flat iron it.. it is styling..
I think it will all be one cost because in order to get your hair flat ironed it has to be clean, therefore washed, then blow dried.
of course is to get ur hair flat ironed!!
i dont know..you need to be more specific on the situation..because when i go to get my hair colored the lady washes my hair and all, but she also blow dries it and then flattens it out and does a lil style on me..and its all for the same price :) why dont you just buy both a blow dryer and flat iron and do your own at home, then you wouldnt have to keep going back to the salon. You'd probably spend more money going back to the salon all the time then you would just getting your own!
Where I go when you get a wash and a blow dry ($30) they ask if you want your hair flat ironed and they don't charge for it.

Help Me pick A hair Flat Iron?
so i live in the tropics and need a hair straightener for my curly frizzy hair... any suggestions on what iron i would enjoy...
i want my hair to stay straight for 3 days or so :O)Help Me pick A hair Flat Iron?
Try to go for a salon brand straighteners
CHI is one of the bigger brands, but personally i like FHI, Sedu and Solia better.
Sedu:
http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Revolution_d2鈥?/a>
Solia:
http://www.folica.com/Solia_Tourmalin_d1鈥?/a>
FHI:
http://www.folica.com/FHI_Ceramic_Fla_d1鈥?/a>
GHD is the best, but it also costs 2 times more than the other irons that work almost just as well:
http://www.folica.com/GHD_Professiona_d2鈥?/a>
To get the long lasting results you want, spritz your hair evenly with heat spray, brush it through and section it off.
Straighten your hair in 1 inch sections, and it should keep your hair pretty straight for 2-3 days.
I recommend the Redken Heat Spray if you can splurge:
http://www.folica.com/Redken_Real_Con_d5鈥?/a>
or the BEYOND THE ZONE heat spray at Sally's if your on a budget:

i suggest ...Farouk CHI 1 Inch Ceramic Flat Hairstyling Iron
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009V1鈥?/a>
The Farouk Chi Ceramic Flat Iron is the #1 Selling Iron Today! The Chi Iron uses the power of positive ions to help repel particles from the air so your hair stays cleaner and healthier. Its 1 inch plates produce negative ions while sealing the cuticles and locking in your hair color creating a silky salon touch to any look. This iron is so versatile that it can also curl or flip your hair.Features: - Reaches 410 Degrees (Non Adjustable Temp Control)- On/Off Switch on the Inside to Prevent Accidental Turn Off- Approximately 6 to 8 Seconds for it to Heat Up- 10 Foot Swivel Cord to Prevent Tangling Up while Using
get a special spray that will keep you from getting split ends or damaged hair. get a conditioner to prevent that to i like ausie personally. spray the stuff i was talking about in your hair while its wet and use a hair dryer to dry it after you towel dry it as much as possible. get the tiny flat iron and little chunks of hair at a time and then brush it together and then go over it again with the straightener and then brush it again and look for parts that dont look straight or satisfy you and go over them. and when your done use a little hair spray to hold it you might want some extra strength since you live in a tropical area. it wont stay straight for 3 days like that but it should do pretty good.
anyone will work, but may not stay for 3 days,( plus that is soooooo unhealthy and dirty), You should get a ceramic flat iron so that there is not too much damage, plus you need one that gets hot enough to get out the curls the first time on each stroke. I would get a CHI flatiron. They are a little expensive but they work really good and last a long time, and they are ceramic)
Ok.
You have to understand that name brand has nothing to do with the product itself. The name or company is just selling itself to the consumer.
Technique is whats important. Try using a flat iron that has one side a comb and the other a flat iron.
A really good iron are the ones that are gold plated.
Make sure that your hair is damp then add in leave in conditioner, then straighten your hair right away.
To keep your hair straight for days, you HAVE to wrap your hair to your head, technical terms, Doobi. After that is done, use a thin doo-rag, or scarf to keep it in place when sleeping.
Check online on how to make the Doobi.
Best Of Wishes!
Farouk CHI
GET THE CHI IRON! Its a bit expensive but I have had it for 7 years now and it is totally worth it. The heat never gives out or cools so it is worth every penny and you won't go looking for another!
Chi is probably the best brand of flat irons around. a lot of professional use them. but if you wash your hair within the 3 days, its going to go back to the way it normally is, and you'll have to flat iron it again.
i have a BaByliss and it is amazing, i have really thick, frizzy, curly hair and it works great :)
The chi.
What I got though is conair and i chose the one that is slightly curve so it can curve and straighten.. (depending of how you hold it)
I recommend you get something like the Chi, Bed Head Rockstar staightener, or Infinity if your hair gets frizzy.. though the prices will be like $50-$120..
revlon hair flat iron is good and effective
Remington wet to straight... its only going to stay straight until you wash it though.

Help with a hair flat iron?
ok I use a flat iron to straighten my hair and it straightens it but..its really hard for me to straighten the hair around my hairline.. the top of my head from ear to ear..(I hope u guys know what im talking about) is there suggestions on how to straighten that part of my hair. Thanks.Help with a hair flat iron?
Try using your blow dryer, if you have the comb attachment the small one works wonder. Start off by blowing the edges first also use a leave in conditioner around the edges the heat will help lay the hair down.
OR, you can use a small electric hair comb around the edges, be careful.Help with a hair flat iron?
Use a pressing comb in combination with beeswax or pomade. It will keep it straight and you can get close to the scalp.
use a proper straightener or blowdry it.it works for me
Straighten it in small sections (if you don't already)
Mine hair is really curly and stubborn (lol) so i have to make a good twenty sections while i straighten it.
First, straightening will kill your hair, the best way to keep it straight is to just have it done by a professional, and then get some products that they recommend. If you keep straightening your hair, it may lead to premature balding.
Take your hair in small sections. Sometimes its better to get a smaller flat iron so you can get closer to your scalp.
try using a straighten comb to get the edges or a 1' in flat iron

Ceramic hair flat iron vs non-ceramic: what's the difference.?
...Ceramic hair flat iron vs non-ceramic: what's the difference.?
Ceramic is the new technology. All hair stylist prefer it as it gives better results and makes the hair look shinier. It is also said to cause less damage to the hair because it distributes heat across the hair evenly instead of the heat being concentrated on one area. But of course that doesn't mean it won't cause any damage. But the damage might be less.Ceramic hair flat iron vs non-ceramic: what's the difference.?
ceramic helps keep the moisture out. ceramic are the best straigteners. my mum's a hairdresser and always recommends ceramics, especially GHD's.

Ceramic flat irons do not damage your hair. non-ceramic really hurt your hair.
Even with a ceramic one you should use heat protectant spray or just shine serum such as ';kenra shine serum, weightless polish';.
ceramic makes your hair shiny and nice and doesn't burn your hair and non makes it burn and it doesn't look as good
ceramics work a lot better!

What hair flat iron should i get?
is the Solia any good?!?! or maybe a chi? i can't afford a ghd. under a hundred dollars would be good. what kind do u guys have? is yours any good? What hair flat iron should i get?
i Absolutely love chis they might be a tad over a hundred in some places but they never fry your hair and last forever i always swear by mine...also if possible get some chi keratin mist it comes in a silver bottle you spray it in your hair after you shower and it protects it from damage and heat good luckWhat hair flat iron should i get?
Conair.
The $20 last just as long as the $100, and you'd be better off not wasting the money. Flat irons break unexpectedly all the time, and I have had my hot tools just quit heating up all together after 2 months. I've always had the best luck with conair.
There isn't a brand of flat iron that doesn't fry your hair. You're putting your hairs between two extremely hot ceramic plates, what did you think was going to happen? Just use sparingly.
Get a ION one they are very cheap ad efficient. They straighten it without damaging it a lot.
Babylis is goodspots

Whats worse for your hair? flat ironing or scrunching?
i used to straighten it all the time now i just scrunch it with herbal essences moose, is that bad? which is worseWhats worse for your hair? flat ironing or scrunching?
scrunching and air drying is better than scrunching and blow drying which is better than flatironing.
However, if you do it right, flat ironing or blowdrying won't ruin your hair. Just don't do it everyday.Whats worse for your hair? flat ironing or scrunching?
Flat Ironing! Scrunching is not bad for your hair. Flat ironing is putting alot of heat on your hair. Heat always damages.

I am going to buy a hair flat iron cost about $49.90 any problem for my decision?
In my opinion, do some research on the product before purchasing it if you haven't already. Go on a website that you know sells the product...lets say Target for example. Just check out the user comments on the product and decide if you really want it! :PI am going to buy a hair flat iron cost about $49.90 any problem for my decision?
Sometimes a conair one does just as good. You might want to try it first. But if money is no question for you then by all means, buy the more expensive one.I am going to buy a hair flat iron cost about $49.90 any problem for my decision?
I bought a $50 Jilbere about 3 years ago and it's still going strong.

I need a Hair Flat iron With auto-shut off that works and is cheap enough.?
Alot of my friends have had problems with CHI'S and I used a Vidal Sassoon one for about three years, but it recently broke. I was going to buy the same one again beacause it was only 40$, but I can't beacause it doesent have auto-shut off. What do you reccomend? 10 points promised for the best./I need a Hair Flat iron With auto-shut off that works and is cheap enough.?
well, I just recently bought a professional ceramic straightener by Remmington. It's called Wet 2 Straight. I got it at walgreens on sale for only $26! and its way cool cuz you can straighten your hair even when its wet! Plus, its got auto shutoff! woohoo!... anyway, i got the 2'; Wide version. it has side-vents so that the steam can escape from the iron and help reduce hair damage. It's really neat cuz its got 30 heat settings! I've got slightly wavy hair that goes to about my mid-back. Its not thick, but its not thin, either. but, when i straightened my hair, i used heat setting 20, and it only took me about 15 minutes to straighten my entire head! but it was already mostly dry, so it probably would take a little bit longer to do it if it was wet. But i love it! you should try it!I need a Hair Flat iron With auto-shut off that works and is cheap enough.?
I have a cricket, I've had it for about 2 years and a corner or two is chipped, but it's still great. Works fabulously!
What problems are they having with Chi's? All of my friends that have them have never complained, they seem to work pretty well. Don't they have long warranties as well?
Maybe you should buy one the same as you used to have.. Who needs an auto-shut off? Just turn it off when you're done.
You can't be THAT forgetful, can you?
I use this one:
http://www.conair.com/instant-heat-ceram鈥?/a>
Why? Look at all its features!
If it gets too hot, it shuts off so it doesn't catch on fire or anything like that.
Its really good and straightens it superior.
It heats up really quickly, so you don't have to wait long.
Had it for about. . .3 years.

dont worry about itHow do i know if my boyfriend will like my hair he likes me with braids i just got my hair flat iron today?
i think he likes u not ur hair if he dose'nt tough luck and dump him if he carry's on like it
he might not like it at first and he may say it but once he gets used to it then it shudnt bother him later on and if he really likes you then a change of hairstyle shudnt affect what he feels for you at all.
Hey, for him it will be like sleeping with a new person without going through the hassle of getting a new person.
If he really loves you then he wont care.
i no how you feel my bf tells me i look older with stright hair but i still keep it stright just to bug him
He should love you no matter what happens!! If he continue to make jokes are keep hurting your feelings you need to let him go, because you don't need nobody to put you down you need a person to be there for you and not for what hair style you wear.
If he likes you even if he like you with with braids but your hair wasn't he will still like you in any type of hairdo. Give him some time guys are like that I had straight hair and I perm it curly and my boyfriend initially told me my hair was like poodle but eventually he accepted it. Give him time one day he will stop.

he might not like it at first and he may say it but once he gets used to it then it shudnt bother him later on and if he really likes you then a change of hairstyle shudnt affect what he feels for you at all.
What causes more damage to your hair: flat iron once a week or hair dye (highlights)?
hair dye. because it makes it all weird colors and it will just damage your hair. flat iron wont t anything bad. if it does you can fix that but you cant fix dyeing your hair.
hope this helps! What causes more damage to your hair: flat iron once a week or hair dye (highlights)?
I think flat ironing.. unless you use protective spray everytime you do it.
And some dyes can nourish your hair, I dye my hair all the time and its still in good condition.. Just be aware of which ones you use.
xWhat causes more damage to your hair: flat iron once a week or hair dye (highlights)?
both but hair straightening wouldn't harm your hair as much as hair dye. use a protectant on your hair when straightening (like redken smooth down)

I'm Going To Put Some Diluted Lemon Juice On My Hair, Flat Iron it, And Sit In The Sun What Color PICTURE...??

Your hair will turn orange. Hair with brown, black and red tones turn orange with any sort of lightening procedure unless it is a permanent dye with a toner that helps tone down brassiness.

Vidal Sasoon Coarse hair flat iron and blow dryer
Has anyone ever used any of these products? Are they any good? Also I keep hearing Chi is really good but where can I get it? Vidal Sasoon Coarse hair flat iron and blow dryer
I was not actually happy with the Vidal flat iron or blow dryer. I felt like I was paying for a designer label on something only I see. They weren't any better than anything I found in Target/Wal-mart. Chi's are nice and are available even at places like JCPenny, but as long are you are paying that kind of money, I think you can get even better quality that does more. The ones that have been most impressive to me are the T3 series-especially the flat irons (like the thin domed ones) that you can use to straighten, flip, or curl so it is like getting three products in one. I've found them at Ulta, Sephora, and online. However, I would highly recommend that you browse the reviews at an online site like amazon and see what best suits exactly what your hair needs are. Hope this helps in some way!Vidal Sasoon Coarse hair flat iron and blow dryer
I own some Chi products and I'm pretty happy with them. I actually got it from a Vidal Sassoon salon. It's a really nice and reliable salon, so I'd assume their products are just as good.
If you don't have a VS nearby, you might have to travel far, go online, or visit a boutique to get what you need. Good luck!

I have been wearing my hair flat ironed for years now because its easy to do. I have long relaxed hair.?
What are some other easy styles to do for my hair length?I have been wearing my hair flat ironed for years now because its easy to do. I have long relaxed hair.?
Ponytails, roller sets (for the big bouncy waves), buns, braids, all types of different styles. Check out blackhairmedia.com discussion forums for more ideas.I have been wearing my hair flat ironed for years now because its easy to do. I have long relaxed hair.?
Big, soft curls with a curling iron would work pretty alright, and they're perfect. You can dress them up or down.
Also, intricate braids are always funky and cool. They may take awhile but the results are usually worth it.
good luck!spots

Have you use the CHI HAIR FLAT IRON?? Is it really good?
I need to buy a new flat iron so Im looking for the best one. THANX! :)Have you use the CHI HAIR FLAT IRON?? Is it really good?
yes, i have it! i works great, but it gets rreally hot so it damages your hair :( i have the special kind though that frys your hair less.
i would suggest this straightner. in my situation, it has worked the best. (i have very curly, poofy hair.)
:)Have you use the CHI HAIR FLAT IRON?? Is it really good?
Yep:) I have the pink one and I love it!
In the beggining it kind of pulled my hair because it was new and thats what new straightners do so I straightened my extensions with them over and over again and it stopped!
I love my Chi. It makes my hair soft and silky. I also use DesignLine Vivid Satin Crystal Therapy by Regis and it makes my hair very silky so I suggest getting that, too. Just make sure you use a heat protector spray because they get really hot. (about 400 degrees or so)
yes! they r really good! i just got one yesterday but it was super duper expensive! it was $130! so... crazyyyyyy

Does hair flat iron let u straight all day when only u wash ur hair?
That was kind of confusing, anyway. Yes you can straighten your hair everyday but it can cause a bit of damage and you don't need to have washed your hair to do so. If there's anything your unsure about with flat irons they should come with instructions. Hope this helps. x Does hair flat iron let u straight all day when only u wash ur hair?
yes, i straighten mine every day but i don't wash it every day. only every second day.Does hair flat iron let u straight all day when only u wash ur hair?
I USUALLY flat iron my hair AFTER i wash it, but i wait till it's dry first.
And if you flat iron it...
Yes... it does stay UNTIL you wash your hair again.

Does anyone know where and if I can get a Farouk CHI Hair Flat Iron in Japan?
Hi there. I'm not quite sure if you can order it from Japan but I got mine off of beautychoice.com. It really is the best deal on the CHI. I got mine in November and it was only about $80 which is about half off the original price and that's pretty darn good! It's the best place to find a CHI. And I'm sure the price has gotten lower but I'm not sure.
Hope I helped!Does anyone know where and if I can get a Farouk CHI Hair Flat Iron in Japan?

I dropped my Wigo hair flat iron in the toilet. Is it okay to use?
i'm letting it dry out for one day, but is it a goner? will i die if i plug it in?I dropped my Wigo hair flat iron in the toilet. Is it okay to use?
I have worked in construction and we had to use electric tools that sometimes got wet or left out and rained on!! They tell you that so they can't be sued (unfortunatly people do that sort of thing)!! I will say though, as long as you let it air out COMPLETELY before pluging it in and trying to see if it still works then everything should be ok!! Look at it this way, water is a very good conduit for electricity!!! If the water is there it can cause the current to jump out of the loop it was ment to travel!! If water is not there then it will go the rout it was designed to take in the first place!! We saved many tools by just letting them dry VERY WELL before we used them again and they still worked fine!! (pay attention to the stressed words in my answer)I dropped my Wigo hair flat iron in the toilet. Is it okay to use?
have u dropped it in water?
if u have droped it in water then u may get shock
you can try it, I would let it dry out a little longer. i don't think you will electrocute yourself unless you are standing in a puddle of water trying to use it. just be careful. next time put the seat down ;)
No problem as long as you are a brunette..spots

What is the difference between a chi straightener and a Pro SSP Digital Ceramic Hair Flat Iron?
Not much, just brand name. Both are ceramic so they will get to very high heat temperatures which will make the hair smoother, shinier and straighter. I know many of my clients like the chi straightener. My favorite is the T3.
Does getting your hair flat ironed make it break?
well i am an african american i wouldnt say my hair is nappy at all i just have ALOT of hair my hair is midway long i get relaxers every now and then my friends always tell me my hair is long and i should get it flat ironed my mom says NO because it will break off and my friend say it wont i just dont know! will it break off or not?Does getting your hair flat ironed make it break?
if you straighten it alot than yes. If your gonna straighten it than i would use a heat protecter (gel, serum, spray) and use a moisturizing shampooDoes getting your hair flat ironed make it break?
As an African American woman who has her hair relaxed, flat ironing your hair will cause your hair to break. What happens is that if you take large portions of your hair and put it between the two ';irons';, it will only press down the hair, no smooth it out.
To prevent major damage, put a small amount of olive oil on the hair, nickle size and massage it into the scalp; take small portions of your hair and flat iron it, putting a slight curve on the end to create a bump.
Make sure your flat iron is not too hot to burn your hair. Good luck!
ok no ur hair will not break off it just that u will burn ur hair if u flat iron it a lot
but once in a while will not kill ur hair

What is worse for hair? flat ironing or relaxing?
what is worse for my hair? i've dyed it before, non permenant hair dye, i have caucasian hair. what is worse? straightening my hair everyday with an ionic straightener, or getting my hair chemically relaxed? What is worse for hair? flat ironing or relaxing?
Those are both equally bad. Heat will eventually destroy the layers of your strands (we all have three layers).
http://nappyme.wordpress.com/hair-facts/
I cannot emphasize this enough, it is like taking a paper clip and bending it back and forth until it snaps. When you straighten or apply heat in any form you strip hair of moisture and it's ability to retain moisture. Relaxers also strip hair of moisture, destroy layers and can also cause chemical burns on the scalp and hair breakage. It's a toss up really. The sodium and calcium hydroxide in relaxers are very strong hazardous chemicals that can eat away lead pipes. But yet we put them on our scalps for long periods of time.
http://www.nappturality.com/modu...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1...
Both damage hair but relaxers can penetrate into the scalps and bodies. I personally believe this becuase when I stopped getting relaxers, my new growth coming in was damaged and relaxed. So relaxers can affect the hair follicles and seep into our scalps! Scary. And there have been studies done where hair stylists who apply and work with PPD chemical hair dyes and permenants have a higher incidence of blood cancer and other cancers.
If you MUST relax your hair here is site to an apparently all natural relaxer:
htt://www.treasuredlocks.com/chemical-鈥?
and if you are looking for a more natural alternative to PPD chemical dyes in the future look into henna for hair. It's actually good for hair:
http://hennaforhair.com
SOOO...if you HAVE to change your texture I would go with a flat iron becuase at least irons aren't chemicals that harm your health. BUT you don't have to straighten your hair. If you want to work with your natural wavy/curly texture I highly recommend this site:

My hair is relaxed.I'm black I wear my hair flat iron straight.I want to wear loose romantic curls like beyonce.how can I do it?
Well if your hair is past shoulder lenghth you need to get some foam rollers that are about at least 2in. Then you need to roll your hair up with them. You need to put oil on every strand you roll up and sleep with the rollers in. Then in the morning you need to unroll them and take a rat tail comb and run the rat tail through your to loosen the curls. And be careful with how much you use your flat iron because your hair off. I your hair is not past shoulder lenghth I would reccomend you get weave sewn in at a salon or buy a beyonce' wig.I'm black I wear my hair flat iron straight.I want to wear loose romantic curls like beyonce.how can I do it?
Go to the salon, or buy a wig, get some weave sewn in, or get it roded it.
You definitely won't achieve this look with a flat iron unless you follow up with a set of electric rollers which is very safe and won't harm your hair like the conventional curling iron. After you flat iron your hair, follow up with a set of electric rollers with setting lotion, preferable without alcohol which will dry your hair out. Or go to your favorite stylist and have her set your hair while wet with rollers and sit under a dryer. The other option is to get you a lace front wig because that is what Beyonce wears and how she achieve her various looks. The lace front wigs are fabulous and everyone wants to own one. You can call me at 713-248-5567 for additional information. These wigs are made of 100% human remy hair and give the illusions of hair growing right from your scalp. There is no glue, sewing that with come in contact with your hair at all. visit www.eexpressionsofyou.com to get some ideas as to what you can do with your lace front wig to create fabulous looks like Beyonce and Tara Banks.
Go to your local ';Hair place'; and buy human curly hair the way you want it .
Try buying a good quality curler. These do a great job, and come with different setting for soft and tight curls

just wondering, which ever one is healthier then ill do that
so which is worse on your hair, flat ironing it everyday or using perm stuff to straighten your hair
thanks!!!Which is worse on your hair: Flat ironing it every day or using perm stuff to straighten it?
Flat ironing your hair ever day is very bad but it is worst if you have dry hair. But Perms are very Strong too, so i suggest that you them done professionally if you decide that is the better chose and I would get them every 3 to 6 weeks depending on your age and hair. I'm younger 20 and I get mine once a month. I also flat iron my hair too! This is between perms when it not as straight but I don't do it everyday! Maybe three times a week depending on your hair! I honestly think you try a relaxer(a not as strong perm) and if it doesn't work like want it then flat iron sometimes!Which is worse on your hair: Flat ironing it every day or using perm stuff to straighten it?
well chemically straightening hair damages it a lot, but you only do a chemical straightening treatment every so often and damage can be easily repaired if you use the right products. flat irons suck, i hate them. when i used one, after about 3 months of doing it i noticed my hair was shorter! the ends were breaking off and it looked terrible. so if i were you i would chemically straighten (or relax) it. but get some deep conditioning products to repair damage afterwards and use them often. my favorite product line for damaged hair is neutrogena triple moisture, you can find them all here: http://www.neutrogena.com/econsumer/ntg/鈥?/a>
good luck!
if you use shampoo that is meant to moisturize, then i would say flat ironing is better, but that's just my opinion. also use conditioner!
i hope that helped!
Both
Using anything on your hair is damaging. Even blow drying.
i think you would be better off to use a straightener...Just make sure you use a heat protecting spray before and you should be good...
Perm stuff is worse.
If you use stuff to moisturize your hair and heat spray you will be just fine.
Neither is healthy. What do you want to do, burn it or make it rot.
flat ironing every day. Heat breaks the hair offspots

Which causes more damage? Curling your hair/flat ironing once a week or getting a perm?
I would say a perm. Those chemicals are horrible for your hair and you can always use something before you straighten to protect.Which causes more damage? Curling your hair/flat ironing once a week or getting a perm?
Straightening and flat ironing will give you split ends and dry out your hair. A perm can also make your very dry if you don't take care of it. Conditioning and taking care of it will make the results better!!
i would say go with a BODY WAVE, it's not as harsh as a perm and it gives you fabulous results. Also when you curl your hair it often falls out very soon after you put it in. a body wave will last you a long time!!
i hope you get one cause you'll ENJOY it!!
:)Which causes more damage? Curling your hair/flat ironing once a week or getting a perm?
Really all of them are damaging. The prm thins your hair, curlins burns and weakens as well as flat ironing does. Take a break get a hair style that will last a week or two and try not to add heat or relaxer to it as often as you can your thinning your hair, keep it moisturized and neat!
getting a perm is more dangerous, if you want curly or straight hair, then curl or flat iron it, but use a hair mask once a week, as well as a deep conditioning treatment, and i don't reccommend that you use a hair dryer when you get out of the shower, let it naturally dry, hair dryers give your hair more heat damage!!
all of it is damaging. there's really no set level of damage each will cause. when your curl, straighten, and blow dry your hair make sure to use a heat protector spray to lessen the damage. also allow your hair to cool before you straighten/curl the same area again
Getting a perm is a chemical burn.
If you wanna straighten your hair and are concerned about damage, use a protective spray before you use the heat.
I say a perm is worse. At least with curling and flat ironing, you can use protectants in your hair.
Getting a perm you are acutally changing the chemical balance of your hair.
a perm causes way more damange.
if your gonna curl or flat iron your hair then use a heat protecting spray before you do so.
Definitely a perm!

Where to find a cheap hair flat iron?
a flat iron up to 15$ with ceramic plates. what brand and where i can find like
wal-mart or targetWhere to find a cheap hair flat iron?
conairs cheap.
theyres tons of them at target. idk if any are under $15 thoughWhere to find a cheap hair flat iron?
Expensive ones are expensive for a reason, the results are sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better, shiner, and healthier, it's honestly worth saving up a little for. I used a $30 straightener for the longest time and it screwed my hair up.
you can get those kinds from Wal-Mart or Target. it's the Conair,Vidal Sassoon, Hot Tools and Remington kinds. but i must warn you that these flat irons arent professional and damage your hair like CRAZY.
Well its a little above your price level but for $20- you can get a remington wet to straight at walmart and it works amazingly!
Wal*Mart. I have one from here and it works great. Try to get one with a comb on the end, or that is skinny.
you get what you pay for
a cheap flat iron is going to completley damage your hair
i wouldnt pay less than $100 for a flat iron
cvs
k mart
walmart
walgreens
and grocery stores...
rite aid
a really good brand is conair, it works great on my hair!
